All, I've done a search....I believe I'm due for a new clutch but wanted to run this by forum members to see if there may be other potential fixes.

My 2013 S4 is experiencing a "chatter" (the car shakes) shortly after engaging 1st, 2nd and now 3rd gear. The car does not free rev when I drive up an hill or during hard acceleration. No issues starting the car, no issues putting the car in gear and it does not pop out of gear.

I have Revo Stage 1 software upgrade for the past 60k miles, (it's the only mod) the car is currently 110,xxx miles, no accidents, always driven responsibly (I'm the original owner). I've had the transmission fluid changed around 60,000 miles, the car is meticulously maintained.

What do you guys think, am I due for a new clutch? If so, what manufacturer would you suggest? I am planning to go stage 2 in the near future. What other things should I do while I'm getting this done? If I have the clutch replaced, I'm planning to go with a lighter flywheel. I don't need an ultralight flywheel, it is my daily driver, what weight would you suggest? Should the transmission mounts be replaced at the same time? I've gotten estimates for the clutch replacement and flywheel along with throw out bearings around $3,500...does this sound right?

I think you are due for a new clutch. I can't help you with any suggested replacement but you will definitely
need something more robust than OEM. I would post on AZ, there seem to be a lot of guys over there that have either done a clutch replacement or have knowledge about what options are out there.
