Default New owner - few questions

HI All

Just had my 2013 S4 and had one or two questions and an issue that has shown up.

1. ECP light has come on twice and gets very juddery. When i switch off and back on, all is good. Its booked in to see the dealer as its under warranty but i was hoping someone has previous experience.

2. best remap for b8.5. I am looking at APR and Revo. Any advice between the two?

3. I'm thinking about a Miltek exhaust (the quieter one , non resonated?)- Anyone have experience and is it loud/nice enough to warrant the price tag?

Cheers

ben

1) Glad you have a warranty. Dealer should be able to figure out the problem and rectify it.

2) If you decide to get a tune, you can kiss your warranty good bye. The first time you take the car back for service with tune, the computer automatically will detect it, your car will be flagged as a TD1, info sent directly to AoA, and warranty voided. Dealers have little or no ability to circumvent this. There are 2 ways to get around this. A) Have your ECU flashed back to stock before you go in for service. B) . Instead of an ECU reprogram, get a Chipwerke piggy back unit. It can be physical removed before service appt and no reports of dealer knowing it has been on. Then reconnect after appt.

3) Miltek exhaust is good, Also consider AWE where you can basically customize the sound to your own preference. There is also a cheaper mod where you remove the center resonator and replace it with a SS exhaust pipe with an X pipe https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...003029ecs01kt/

Default Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I might stick with just the exhaust for now then. Would this affect the warranty?

I had my car checked out and they replaced all the spark plugs - free of charge
