You can drive it, just don't wash it and try to keep it dry even from rain for 24 hours.
Here is the thread from where I got mine done. Pics showing the entire car from about 5 feet away it's nearly invisible, I did a few shots from an angle that showed the seams on purpose. While you can see them if you know to look, it's very unobtrusive.

Very nice NWS4Guy. Thanks for the pictures. 2 questions - what did the PPFilm job run you. I'm getting quotes for all that film (full hood and full fenders mind you) for about 1800$. Second Q - Did you go with huper optik ceramic?

About $1100 for the Ventureshield, which didn't cover the entire hood as you can see. Didn't go huper, it's a lot more for no gains over what I have now - Lifetime warranty, and no interference with the radio/cell transmissions. I just couldn't see any real difference in the 2 except the price, so I saved a little.
