Thanks, I love it just wish I didn't have to take car in tomorrow am for brakes. I just cannot drive a car that can be heard for blocks away.

I've had both colors.. heres some pics for differences but hard to tell. Somewhat similar but I think the black saphire metalic is a bit deeper black though

You may be right Chris. From what I can remember of my Saphire 540 looked pretty similar. As for the quality of paint that is hard to say. Interesting to know the difference between BMW and Audi paint process.

BTW - I have to give you credit for the Phantom Filler plate. My dealer really liked how mine turned out and said he will probably add as a dealer option for S4's. They have there own paint shop.

Thanks! That was my first mod as I couldnt stand the grey filler and it just looks much cleaner. On black anyway.

I agree looks so much better painted. If future models have it painted we very well could point back to your mod. That 3 coupe you traded for S4 was a sweet looking car.

997C2S - congrats!! looks hot! i guess you are risking a ticket since you are in NY.. i'm thinking about no front plate too in NJ.. front plate is just not meant to be on this car

Thanks, I am knocking on wood when I say this, but many cars without front never an issue.
I may get pulled over for breaking a local sound ordinance with my brakes however...

Cops these days tend to not pull you over just for not having a front plate even though its illegal in most states. Typically, if they give you any heat for it, it will because they pulled you over for another reason like speeding, lights out, etc. Then they may write you a fix-it ticket if they aren't having a good day!
