Question on Audicare and wheel program

I had a similar debate before picking up my car. I took the Audi Care program but not the wheel/tire protection since I mainly drive around the city that doesn't have too many large pot holes. I don't drive that much (less than 15,000 km per year) but program is based on distance or time, whichever is earlier. I'm glad I did since a subsequent notice was sent by Audi that the transmission has to be changed earlier than expected and my service manager indicated it would be cover by Audi Care, thus saving more maintenance costs.
