I think the fact we don't even see any youtube videos of the two going at it, speaks volumes.
Another thing I wondered, is the 320hp number even more understated than the original 300hp it supposedly had?...hence the radiator, ect upgrades they had to give it.
Either way, the M3 is the only choice at that price point.

335is
=====================================
C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 4.6 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 11.4 sec
Zero to 140 mph: 25.7 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.0 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.3 sec @ 108 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 148 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 169 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.93 g
Compare that to Road and Track's comparo test. There are no direct head-to-head track comparison, but these baseline numbers still indicate that the S4 has the edge on 0-60, 1/4 mile, skidpad, braking, and slalom speed. The 335is suspension is the same as the 335 so handling is not that much better. The IS is basically a track version of the 335 where the enhancements is to make sure that the car does not over heat and get into limp mode.

Really guys?
We really need to theory work on the possibility of the IS being faster?
I have had BMW reps tell me that the IS wont be able to match up to the S4. It will be able to be neck and neck with our cars, but once that 7 seconds is gone, peace out bmw.
its fast indeed, looks incredible also over the regular 335 with the M package. But it wont ever beat the S4 stock vs stock on a track

Not surprised @ all as I got 14.5 mpg the first 5K miles, myself. At 8K miles now I and get 15-16 mpg. But, I don't do much heavy duty driving, don't have a wife & kids, only see patients part-time these days, and don't have a gf right now - so I'm mostly just jetting around the neighborhood - "wowing" folks when my trispokes are clean. Tough life, I know, but it certainly makes it easier to make these car payments! The S4 is the *perfect* bachelor car! LOL

Yeah, but it's only like 30 hp from a stock 335. Like I said, easily gotten with a $125 plug and play mod that takes 2 minutes to install. People have easily run 50 extra hp for an extended period without any upgrades to anything else. Why they felt the need to add on an extra radiator, oil cooler, and fan for an extra 30 hp is beyond me. Actually it's not, that's how they can justify 4K for a 30 hp upgrade in the ECU.
