Default Shopping for a new S4 in NY Metro

Possibly looking to lease a Blue S4 Prestige with rear airbags....
getting wild quotes and dealers telling me that i would have to wait close to 3 months.... guys does anyone know the current residuals for 2 year leases and what are the current money factors for audis for two years????
i am being told that S4 with prestige is like $1000 a month for 2 years???
while i was getting $900 a month for S5??? how is that possible? woudnt S5 be cheaper?

Default Try this-from November

And I assume you meant to ask "Wouldn't S4 be less" not S5.

It depends on which car has higher depreciation during the lease term. All other things being equal, the higher the depr. the higher the payment.

Was the money factor the same on both cars?

You should make sure you drive both - they are very different beasts. You are going to get lousy gas mileage with the V8 in the S5 when compared to the S4 engine. And if you plan on driving passengers, good luck with the S5 - getting in and out of the back seat is a pain (and pretty much any adult over 6ft. won't fit back there.

I can tell you an easy way to pay less than $900 or even $700 per month...put a lot of money down as a cap cost reduction. Although why you'd do this I don't know. Remember, leases are about a heck of a lot more than just the monthly payment. There are lots of posts and online resources about the current residuals and money factors - and these have always been very poor for Audis. No matter how you acquire a car (lease or finance), it always comes down to what the negotiated final selling price is.

As to the waiting time, that's how long it takes to get one if you order out right. 3-4 months is the norm. Read a few of the new arrival posts and you'll see.
