Should I buy an S4 in the showroom?

If the car has what you want on it and you're getting a price you like, buy the thing. If you're actually worried about the battery(and for the life of me, I can't see why) have them put a charger on it before you take delivery. BTW, from your sig, I assume you have had a BMW. I think you will be impressed with the S4. Unlees your last BMW was an E92/93 M3.

I got my 2010 S4 from the dealership. It came in a day or two before. The car was out on a test drive when the sales manager told me about it. The guy didn't buy it. I test drove it and bought it right away. It had 24 miles on it after I test drove it.
It didn't have the back up camera on it or driver's assist, which made me drop the A4 I'd ordered previously. But, the sales manager told me I could have the S4 at invoice too. I knew it was a good deal. It turned out to be an even better deal as I actually got it $300 under invoice; around 4K off MSRP!
So you can get a good deal at the dealership!

My dealership had a yellow S4 sitting on the lot from early September until late July. So...not sure I would've liked driving that one home. Dealers will probably discount cars that have been sitting in the showroom for a while.

I bought mine out of the showroom and I have had no problems. I had 190 miles on it but that didn't bother me. The car had no defects and I got a good deal on it. Had all the options I wanted.
