Looks like we have a couple of Arlington NOVA folks....maybe we should plan a drive out to Cars and Coffee in Great Falls one of these days. The last time I went there some Audi NA guys showed up with an S6, S7, S8; I can shoot them an email and see if they'll come by again.

Let me know when this is, my wife and I may drive out. Also, we will be at Summit Point this weekend. (White 911 #46)

Yea absolutely. When/where is Cars and Coffee? I work right out in Tysons so I'm 5 minutes from Great Falls.

Semmes, I'd be interested in meeting up and going for a drive. I'd like to check out a tuned S4. I'm in DC, but I'm in NOVA all the time.

When you had the M3, did you ever participate in one of the Skyline runs organized by some folks on Bimmerpost? I went once and it was awesome. Is there an Audi equivalent? I went a few years ago and there were about 30 ///M cars (M3, M5, M6, M Coupe, etc.) and we followed the leader on some pretty amazing country/mountain roads.

GTP, no I never participated in one of these runs but it looks like a blast. I am actually very familiar with a lot of those roads though. I grew up out in Loudoun County and regularly drove some of the roads in the Loudoun/Fauquier County area. They truely are some of the most beautiful roads in VA and so much fun to drive on. I'd be willing to go drive some of them on a Sunday afternoon for sure.

I'd be happy to take you for a spin so you can test out the APR and see what you think. I'm sure you'd love it. Just let me know!

I went 08 E90 M3 to 11 S4 Prestige, I had 6spd on both, but I fully agree with the poster's report. Even the S4 manual is much better for daily driving.

Like you, I'm not a weekend racer anymore, I find the usable torque and Quattro to make the car actually a better performing car for my driving than the M3 which requires being strung out to get its maximum performance benefit.

I did the same. I went from a 2009 M3 Silverstone DCT to 2012 S4 DSG. Had lots of snow two years ago and M3 had to go. I still miss it. The DCT was good in manual mode but bad in auto/D mode. The Audi is good in Auto/D mode but the manual mode is not so manual. I really don't like that it up shifts and down shifts even in "Manual" mode.

I don't miss mine. 2005 M3 SMG. Great car, fast, handled great, BUT you could loose your filings driving in the city, you have to rev it to go fast and BMW service, SUCKS.
I sold it and got a 2007 335 Cab. Nice car, faster than my M3 but the run flats did it in for me.

The Audi S4 or S5 might not be as fast, handle as good but in everyday driving it a much better car overall. The Audi is a great Grand Tourer. The fit and finish is worlds ahead of BMW
