Default Used B8.5 Without Warranty

Hi, I'm looking at 2013+ Audi S4 without Warranty or some with only a couple months/miles left. Should I really look the other way? Looking at anything under 60k miles because i need to stay under 30k. What do you think? Anything I should look for specifically? Want automatic.

When I purchased my 2011 with 49K miles over 3 years ago, I purchased a 3 yr Silver package warranty from Fidelity for $2700. Now after over 3 years, I feel it was a complete waste of money. Never had a claim. Now with 77K miles I am going without a warranty. I suggest, rather than buying a warranty, put $50-$100 away each month into a slush fund for repairs. You can use that money for brakes, battery or tires which you will eventually need as well as any repairs that are needed.BTW, these cars have been remarkably reliable ,even with higher mileage. I have yet to go back to the dealer. Get repairs done by an indy mechanic. BTW, I would not buy an S4 without a sport dif. Others will not agree. IMHO, the quintessential S4 has Nav, Sport dif and B&O radio. Other options are nice but not essential. No years to avoid. Find the newest S4, with the lowest mileage, in the best condition, in a color combo you like, with options that are must have for you, that you can afford.

+1 on everything stated above. The B8.5 S4 is a very reliable car and well made. Sport diff makes a huge difference. Essentially negates the understeer associated with the AWD.
