Who belongs to a car club?
I am thinking of joining my local chapters of BMW CCA and naturally, Audi CCA. BMW CCA holds autocross events only 20 miles away from my home monthly, and between these two clubs, I can go to a few HPDE's each year. BMW CCA seems much bigger. I've looked into SCCA and NASA and I didn't think they were quite what I was looking for. Any opinions or inputs on what I can expect and should do to make most out of my experience?

I can't speak to the area you live in, but it's a huge, great group of people out here. Lots of driving stuff from just get togethers cruising around, to HPDE's, and an upcoming one for Snow Driving happening here soon.
You get a subscription to Quattro Quarterly, which shows all sorts of things happening around the country. Here's a starting place for you:

Looks like a snow driving school on 1/22 in your area.

I'm a member of SCCA, BMWCCA, and ACNA (BTW, it's not Audi CCA, it's Audi Club North America ). I haven't done any HPDE events with ACNA nor BMWCCA yet, but I've been to one of the autox events by BMWCCA. Their autox is ok, course was on the narrow and tight side, however you get more runs. With SCCA (at least in our region here), the courses are usually more open, faster but still very technical (as seen in my video). Our region's events are usually a practice day on Saturday (limited entry), and the competition day on Sunday (limited runs). In competition, you get to earn points for the championship. I like the competitiveness of SCCA, therefore I do mostly SCCA autox.

I've been a member of BMW CCA for over 10 years. Haven't joined the Audi club yet, as there doesn't seem to be much going on in my area. I'll be going to a BMW event with my S4 for the first time in April.
