$2000 Deposit?!

My dealer asked for a $1,000 deposit. This would be fully refundable. I was okay with this request. I can see the requirement for a non-refundable deposit if I ordered a custom color or interior that would otherwise be difficult for the dealer to move (should I decline to take delivery). Otherwise for a standard color and configuration, any deposit should be refunded.
