That sucks. I've made it through 19 years of driving without hitting another car and would prefer to deactivate a nanny that may get me rear ended.

Try adjusting the sensitivity lower. It's hidden deep in the car settings menus.

On another note, why is a “late” option for these safety features?? Not a fan so far. Curious if anyone else has had issues.
I was driving down a neighborhood road (2 lane) with enough room for cars to park on the street on one side. As I was coming down the road, a car was also coming towards me...as we passed each other & as I passed a park car on theright, the pre-sense kicked in and braked...scared the sh*t out of me also. My guess is that the combo of the car moving by on the one side and the park car being so close on both sides triggered something...my guess is the S4 thought it was going to collide.

Can you turn it off permanently with an ODBeleven?

I don't know how to edit my own post on here... I don't mean turn it off forever, but make it so that it doesn't automatically turn back on each time you restart the car if you had turned it off previously. Make it's on/off fully manual. You can do all sorts of weird stuff with ODBElevens so wondering if that's doable.

Hope to find out soon. I ordered an OBDeleven from ECS Tuning and have yet to get it. It was shipped on August 6 and I am still waiting for the slow boat to arrive...

Probably because you are new here. Most likely you need to have a minimum number of posts before you are allowed to edit. I do not know that number.
