Experience with Rattles and Interior noises?
18 S4 Prestige with ~450 miles. Admittedly, I am very picky but, my car is driving me nuts. Interested in other people's experiences resolving rattles, creaks and intrusive cabin noises. My current areas of concern: 1) front passenger door, 2) headliner/sunroof 3) rear speaker deck/package shelf. Are there any relevant Technical Service Bullitens for the B9 of which I should be aware? I finally contacted the dealer today to bring it in for evaluation... as the daily annoyance has now surpassed my fear of having someone tear apart the pristine interior and potentially make things worse. I want so badly to enjoy this beautiful machine, but there is no radio volume that "solves" my problem. The driving dynamics/technology in the car are otherwise amazing. PS My last Audi way back in 2001, an A6 2.7t, was rock solid.

No issues with B9 S4 yet, close to 1000 miles on often crappy NE roads. This though I've been driving over pavement defects that I would steer around in my B8 S4. Both cars on 19" OEM wheels and non-adjustable shocks in the B8 (the B9 has the S-sport package).
I find the new car is quieter and has more compliant shocks than the old one.

Yup. The headliner right by my ear in the b-pillar area rattles/shuffles over anything but glass smooth pavement. It's a major bummer.
The various hard plastic and carbon fibre trim in the doors squeak occasionally, as does the centre channel grille in the dash.

Two days in, there's a distinct rattle in the headliner and another one in the dash. Today the handle for the hood release fell off spontaneously in a sharp left turn. Not very exciting.

I think you must be really unlucky. I bought my S4 6 months ago and admittedly only covered 1500 miles and a good few of those on typically not nice roads. Hope I'm not speaking too soon, but as of yet, have had not one rattle or untoward noise. In fact, the car as a whole has more ticks than I have boxes. Promise you I don't work for Audi.............
If I get a rattle soonish I'll add to this reply.

Super bummed to see this thread. Seems like a crap shoot whether you get a car finished correctly, which shouldn't be happening for a car this expensive. Guess I'll see how mine fares upon arrival.

Nine months and my 2017 A4 is rock solid except for the back seat, which sometimes emits a low rattle when I am braking to a stop on uneven pavement. Lowering the back center armrest seems to resolve the problem, but why should I have to do that?

I have 2: First is the latch of the rear armrest. Second is the fold-down latch of the larger rear seat. Noticed first at about 500 miles and the second at about 2,500. Will have dealer address at 10k service.
