MMI wont update new songs on SD card

Default MMI wont update new songs on SD card
I have a 32gb SD card with music on it. I recently added a bunch of new music. I can confirm it is on the stick, as it plays when I click on it when in my computer, but for some reason my car does not recognize the new music. All the old music plays, but I can't find any of the new songs. I deleted a bunch of old stuff at the same time, so its not a capacity thing. I've tried using both slots in the car... not sure what else to try. Anyone else run into this?

did you check connection manager to see which is the active 'slot'?

But I did try the card in both slots. Only old music plays
