Default So how do I fit my 'curry hook'??

Hi all - I'd followed an online discussion about storage in the S4, storage is pretty poor in mine, I don't even have a hook in the boot, so I bought one
I can't work out how it fits though. There are 2 small square holes in the roof of the boot (under where the rear window is) which seem to fit the fixing holes on the hook. It came supplied with two metal lugs which go behind the metal roof but 1) the lugs are too big to go through the hole, 2) access behind there is impossible.

Can anyone help with suggestions please? I could glue it on if that's what it came to, but what sort of glue for he metal / plastic interface would I use bearing in mind the downward force it would need to withstand?

I went to my local big box hardware store and purchased two plastic body nuts (see image below), which are square in shape and slip into the square holes. The screws provided with the hook then screws into these nuts.

If you disassemble the hook from the other side which came from the factory, you will see this is exactly how it is installed by Audi. It is very sturdy.

I have to be honest and say that when my S4 arrived and only had one LED light and one hook (my old B7 S4 had two hooks), I just paid the dealer to "take care of it".

I hate to be the one to tell ya bud, but looks like you installed it backwards.
It's supposed to fold away from you and up when released, not towards you and up. In other words should fold up towards the front of the car not the rear.

Yeh I know -but this way round to me seemed better because the hook is immediately accessible.

I purchased a grocery bag hook ‘kit’ from ECS Tuning, installed it today in 5 minutes - perfect - now 2 hooks for the grocery store runs.

What's the answer? I bought one too and was wondering how to install it.

That's what the pull tab is for.
