Default 2 Quick Questions on S4 parts.

Hey gang had a few quick questions.

1. Does your USB Port #1 which is located under the climate controls and next to the 12V power port light up like the USB #2 port located under the middle console holder? My #1 USB port doesn't but my #2 port does light up.

2. Anyone know the rim side width of the 18" OEM wheels on the S4? I know the tires are 8.5 width according to Tirerack so wanted to see if the rims are also 8 or 8.5 width.

Thanks!

1. I took delivery in late March, when both USB ports were still located beneath the armrest. So both light up on mine. The move of port #1 to beneath the climate controls was a rather recent mid-production-run change, and I suspect it was either done as cheaply as possible (hence no light) or that it was a conscious decision made so that drivers weren't forced to stare a somewhat out of place light in the face when driving at night. (The 12V aux tucked away down there doesn't light up either.)

2. I had thought the stock 18" weels were 8" width, but I'm only about 60% sure of that. What I can tell you is that my aftermarket winters are 8" wide and they're working just fine.

Actually my 12V aux ring lights up down there...

Interesting on the USB port that was moved there...didn't know that was a change.

I'm pretty sure the stock B9 A4 has 18x8 wheels, so I would assume that the S4's are 8" in width as well. My car has been at the dealer for the past week to fix a creaking noise, so I can't check on the USB ports lighting up or not. At least they gave me an A5 SB loaner.
