Maybe. But for me it just forgets that I have it set to camera mode. This TSB seems to show that the cameras don't work rather than it just forgets the setting you have it on. But I will print that out and bring it.

Audi describes bug and work-around
This has just been sent to me from Audi in Germany:
"This concern is being investigated and will involve a SW update to correct. This concern occurs when the automatic Park Distance Control is activated and the forward view is displayed, (always a graphic view on right side of MMI) and then the vehicle being shut off. After a sleep cycle, the MMI stores the graphic view in memory. This also causes the setting in the MMI to change from camera to graphic view. To avoid this from happening, the customer would have to select reverse gear before shutting off the vehicle to force the overhead camera view to be displayed and incidentally stored in memory each time the vehicle is shut off during a PDC event. Make sure the setting in the MMI is set to camera before releasing the vehicle and advise the customer of the current operation and how to avoid the concern."
Audi advises there is no current time line for the SW solution for this concern at this time. Software can take 6 months or more to develop and release.
I'm going to try what they suggest now that they've described what the bug is and how it is triggered.

I'm glad they finally acknowledged it from a corporate standpoint. Let's see how long it takes for the fix. In the meantime, I have just resorted to manually switching to top view as my hand is pretty much resting right there anyway.

My S4 works like yours, John. My wife's top-view has to be "turned on" every time. If you don't it defaults to back or front camera on the left side of the screen and "parktronic" sensor array display (but not including the stitched view) on the right.
I thought it was the SQ5's design (software). The S4 works always showing the "around view" or top-view on the right and the front or rear camera on the left.
Must be a setting somewhere.

My 2018 Audi Q5 have the same problem. I went to dealer and they told me that a lot of people found this bug on their car and there is no update to the camera yet. So yeah it bugs me a lot too.
