Default "Tea Kettle" Noise

I have a 2000 Tip with an APR chip & have started to hear a very loud "air rushing" sound under full throttle acceleration when the throttle is lifted.

I have checked the TBB and didnt find any tears, could this be the bypass valves?

Hate to bring my car into the dealer as they always screw something else up or never seem to be able to fix what it was brought in for.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Default I have that same noise, my suggestion..

take your chip out, clear the codes with a VAG then take it to the dealer, make an appointment. you can still drive it untill the appointment but cafrefully. My turbos need to be replaced. Id bet you have the same problem

Default several things...

you have the good obvious ones there to check.

"air rushing" sound is not turbo failure...turbo failure is a high-pitched dentist drill oh my god nasty assed sound under load.

Sort of sounds like you are describing the normal "sandblaster" effect of all the extra air rushing through the exhaust system. Always a good idea when in doubt to get the car checked with the VAG for any signs of a leak. There are a zillion hoses that could be damaged and they CAN eventually lead to a turbo failure (not to mention the performance loss).
