Default **Idiot Alert** OK guys...I've had the car for only 2 months...how does heatsoak feel like?

Just finished my clutch break in period. I'm steping on the gas but the car is not responding as fast as I though it would. Boost seems OK peaking at 22lbs and regulating at 15lbs but I don't feel the hard punch that I'm used to. I'm thinking heat soak (IT'S HELL HOT DOWNHERE). The problem is that I'm an idiot that can tell what is heatsoak since I've never had a turbo car till now. The car feels like its revving pretty good but it doesn't pull as hard...is that it?

Default well i dont think thats good for your turbos to be boosting anywhere in the 20s, do you have...

a boost controller? i would suggest doing a pressure test just to make sure you dont have a boost leak.

Default WOW. get an MBC on there to limit those spikes to about 18. 22 is WAY too high

that could be your problem

Default My GIAC-X ECU with the older code would spike up to ~22 PSI and cause overboost TC.

It is usually at a low RPM (~3700 RPM). I would also get some overboost DTC's from this. The new GIAC code does not do this TC.

Default At 22 psi on K03 programming, it's definitely cutting throttle.

That's probably why it doesn't feel fast. Put in an MBC as others suggested.
