It wouldn't be too hard to (roughly) calculate.

Default Good question - I don't know the answer. Also -

How about the front spring rate? Maybe the front is coming up as the back goes down. If so, a stiffer front rate might help the squat since it wouldn't go up as easily. Probably not as big an impact as the back.

No answers, just more questions!

I'm looking forward to your rough analysis =)

Default But, the spring is under compression just from the weight of the car, you're never going to have it

extended to the point where it's past it's standard length so it will never hold the front of the car down. And, even if you did, there's nothing for the spring to grab on to. Am I missing something?

Default Good Point, but how about this theory..

You're right, I wasn't thinking about the springs being in compression all the time. Here's a modified theory:

Since the springs have a higher rate than stock they deflect less for a given amount of weight change. So, when the rear squats under accel, transfering weight to the rear, the front doesn't move up as much since the weight change on the front doesn't produce as big a change in spring length as it would with stock springs.

I still think the stiffer rear springs have a bigger impact on squat. But I'm thinking the stiffer front springs will also help some, based on the thinking above. I brought it up because I thought it might come into play when trying to decide on front/rear spring rates.
