Default 1/8 mile times

Just ran a 9.31 with a 2.17 60ft @ 76mph, does this sound about right for my 2002 S4 w/ APR chip and tiptronic trans? I was hoping for the lower 9's or maybe an 8.9 , we were launching by foot-braking and reving RPM's to about 2100-ish, also we were manually shifting the tiptronic, it was also 80 degrees outside here today. Does this sound about average or par for the course?

Default Sounds about right for APR weak sauce...

At an 1/8th mile strip I ran an 8.973 best @ 79.63mph(2.104-60ft). At a 1/4 mile track I ran a 8.826 in the 1/8th mile at 79.59mph(2.004-60ft). And my mods include GIAC X chip, Tip chip, apr catback, and evo intake and really heavy wheels. So I think you're at par with your times and mods, seems like you're doing a good job launching too. By the way I have yet to get less than a 2.004 for my 60 foot.

That sounds a little slow IMO. What's the drag strip's elevation?

Default 850 ish. Its not Coastal by any means.

Yeah I though the speed was a little low. My Man (S4 Slave) traps 4 MPH faster in the Eclipse (FWD turbo) I dunno. I had a passenger and 3/4 tank of gas.. perhaps the power to weight ratio thing came into play. As the 2.17 60ft/ 9.3@76 pass was done with Driver only and maybe 1/2 tank.

I'm wandering if I should have been shifting @ 6000 instead of taking it to 6600+ before shifts.

What RPM can you rev to before Launching without 'compromising' the tranny. I swear its faster out of a stoplight!

Default sounds slow. on APR i ran a 8.676@82.93

I would say torque launch higher and leave it in "D". Have your trans recoded to 00032 if u havent yet.
