Default 100 octane + below 60 degrees = wheeeee

Filled up with 100 octane today (took a short jaunt over to SearsPt this AM), but not quite 100% sure if there's much benefit in a stock car. I think it seems faster / more responsive, but it could just be psychological and/or related to the weather (heavy fog + cool air = chilly intercoolers )....It did seem to take a while for the ECU (?) to adapt, about 50 miles, but once again, could be due to the cold air. Argh....

Default It's not psychological... you should see how retarded your timing is on 91 octane (use a VAG)

then check the timing after you put 100 octane in!

It's really, really sad... :-(

If you have any type of Special Sauce (tm) in your car, the differences are even MORE noticable

what does "special sauce" signify? Is that like a West Coast code phrase?
