Hehe... thing is I have curbed 2 of the rims bad. It would be ideal I think to use these stock wheels as my winter setup and by a new set of 17's for the summer and move the Pirelli's to those. You guys have been great... thanks.

Default ahem...

"The Blizzak WS-50 also features Bridgestone's Tube Multicell Compound, which helps disperse water to reduce the risk of slipping on the thin surface film of water that makes ice so dangerous."

and compacted snow. that thin film of water they speak of also occurs during the milliseconds the contact patch is in contact with the fresh snow.

todays snow tires ARE NOT designed to hold onto snow.

one other thing... is the braking going to get better with the snow tire too? I slid down a hill and I had to bless the lord that no one was at the bottom... It would have been ugly. Thanks... pardon me for all the questions... I got this car 4 weeks ago, but I was driving a 2000 F150 with 35" mud terrians on it. That was really nice in this crap!

Default You can't deny the physics..

Your test will need to be two S4s with the same tire (except size) and the same amount of wear.

Default With good tires...

You will think your F150 sucked.. I constantly race and whoop SUVs and trucks all winter long. One of my favorite snow past-times. :-)

So yes, braking will be *MUCH* improved.. as will accelerating, and turning.

Default I wouldn't say my 205-55-16 LM-22's suck in the dry....

...I actually find them to be quite good when the roads are clear. Certainly not a max-performance tire, but very good IMHO.
