2.7T 6 speed Manual Chip Question
Has any one experienced the following:
In chip mode: Under hard accelleration..2nd gear goint up to 6K RPM.. then a fast shift to 3rd... flooring it and then sudden limp mode at about 5K. Then about a minute or so later...all power is restored. VAG scan after the fact did show MAXIMUM CHARGE PRESSURE EXCEEDED.
Feedback please.
If this has happend to you ..What Chip are you running...DV's were you using.

TBB, DVs, and F-hose tend to fail quite frequently on our engines.
They are the achilles heels of the 2.7T powerplant, and most likely the cause of your problems. Pressure test your engine to see if any of these are the problem. Could be just a loose hose somewhere.
If it's not any of those three, maybe you have a defective chip.

Also...
This guy had the same problem. It was a loose hose.
You should search for "charge pressure" and see what you can come up with.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1605586.phtml</a

OK, then here is a direct answer to your question: yes, I've had this happen and it was 3 yrs ago...
when I was running an APR chip and stock BPVs....
I thought my first answer was a bit more helpful
FWIW, the 3 things I listed are probably the most common things that cause the code you are getting.
