Recently saw pics of the upcoming 2001 A4. Beautiful car, not that the current model isn't. Have any of you heard what the plan is for the S4? Will it be updated as well? Or will Audi do the same thing BMW did recently and continue to produce the S4 on the current platform while introduing the "lesser" models on te new platform? Or will we see an A4 2.7T? I have put my purchase on hold til I know more. Considering A6 2.7T for the extra room and the fact that it is at the beginning of it's model life instead near the end.

Audi hasn't released any actual photos of the new A4 so any photos you've seen have been created in Photoshop.

Also, even if the A4 receives a newer body style in 2001, the U.S. market likely won't see it for another year so don't expect to see any new A4's in North America until after Fall of 2001.

This same picture has been posted by several car magazines (<i>Road & Track</i> and <i>Car and Driver</i> come to mind). <i>Car and Driver</i> mentioned that it was an artist rendition of what the new A4 is rumored to look like. Audi has not released any solid information on what the "new" A4 will look like.

A few months back, Matt Daniels posted an excellent article on so-called "spy" shots and other "fake" photos of cars...I suggest giving it a read (link provided below).

...Autoweek said it was an official Audi pic. I find it hard to believe that they would lie about this.
