Default 2001 S4 Brakes/Calipers: Lucas-Girling (?)

I have a stock 2001 S4.

I recently ordered some brake pads (4B0698151) Ate/Pagids which are 2-pads per caliper so I thought, but I was surprised my installer told me that they were the wrong ones.

Instead he told me to get (4B3698151) which are also pagids but are 4 pads per caliper. They are supposedly for Lucas-Girling calipers??.

Is this consistent with all 2001 S4's or they vary all the time from S4 built 2000-2002.

Thanks for any info...

4B0 698 151S is the correct part # for a B5 S4 front caliper pad set.

Default Not what I was told ... 4B3698151...

My installer said 4B3698151. It has 4 pieces per caliper.

Take a look here at Autohausaz parts website. Scroll down and you will see 2 types of pads... a 2 piece per caliper set and a 4 piece per caliper set.

The installer has already installed 4B3698151
on my car. I was surprised, but saw the 4B3 pads on the calipers.

I am confused.<ul><li><a href="http://www.autohausaz.com/search/product.aspx?sid=0jbssqqolmlm1z55apiq30at&amp;make id=800002@Audi&amp;modelid=1368233@S4%20&amp;year= 2001&amp;cid=14@Brake%20%26%20Wheel%20Hub&amp;gid= 1684@Brake%20Pad%20Set">Autohaus parts</a></li></u

Yea the part # I mentioned is identical to the one you have. Could just be the new part #.
