Default 27K '01 Clutch Replacement- Labor Costs? Recommendation in MA for work

Bernadi quoted $1800 even though I've got all the replacement parts (RS4 parts.) They also tried to tell me a flywheel was needed (stock part of course). I told them thanks, but no thanks.

I was told as it's wear and tear and I've got to bear the burden of the cost, but I'm not paying over 1K for labor alone.
Any recommedations?

If you call the 1800 Audi Number, they say it's wear and tear

Default irrelevant. it's still covered. i had mine replaced at 49,940 miles that way

as long as it slips under load, you're covered

Default i had it done in december...unless their policies changed drastically since

if you're getting BS, go to a different dealer. my local dealer gave me BS once, i said screw you and went somewhere else. now i've been driving twice as far to go to this other dealer, but i'm very happy with their service.

Default Clutch isn't a warranty repair, its an Audi Advantage repair... totally different thing.

Its absolutely not wear and tear.
