3/4 throttle mod testing revisted on 3-.. Looks pretty worthless to me...

My car did it stock, just worse with a chip, so how would software change things?
And if I do a VAGCOM throttle adaptation then won't it still be the same as the lower tech "stopper" if I tell the car that full throttle is really "80%" then there would still be no "full throttle"

basically, when i was running some of the evo+no flow straightener beta stage 3 AWE programs
that had VERY aggressive boost ramps, i would get BLAZINGLY fast FATS times, but only if i slowly rolled on the throttle. If i got on it too fast, WHAMMO, boost spike, diviation, throttle cut -> sh1tty FATS.

forcibly falsifying the throttle adaptation is likely to cause more harm than good.
also, i dont see how 3/4 throttle would help on ANY stock car unless you were running bad gas or had a boost leak that only triggered under full boost.

DISCLAIMER butt dyno knowledge only: On a trip back from the dealer I had my stock chip back in and
noticed that the 3/4 throttle seemed to be significantly quicker then full. When I re-installed my MTM chip is was worse. No boost leaks ATM

Check the link in my post at the top of this thread. Was done on on APR v5 on K03's.
I think that the 3/4 throttle mod may help in lower RPM range as Nye mentioned from overboost TC considerations on older SW. The flip side is that it may not have enough throttle for upper end. I saw this in my K03 testing before.
