Is 4 hours cooling time enough to install ECT?

Just hook a gardenhose up to your throttlebody, turn on the water and your car
and rev it for 5 min. That will cool things right down.

Answer: No, 4 hours in NOT enough time. Let it sit over night or break out the cleaning products.
Good news = New fvckin' ECT sensor sucessfully installed.

This thing?.................

Why? I waited 20-30 minutes and didnt spill a single drop of coolant. Did you open the coolant tank cap and then close it before pulling out the sensor?

Some coolant will spill no matter how long the car cools for.
You want to make sure you DON'T open the coolant reservoir cap so the vaccuum keeps the majority of the coolant in place. Otherwise, you've got a big mess on your hands instead of a little one.
