Default 9" wide wheels

has anybody had any level of success fitting 9" wide wheels in a non-widebody s4? (rolling fenders is assumed)

I doubt they'd clear the rear upright. My 18x8.5's w/245/35's barely clear.

I think S4MadMan had 9" wide Mayas on his S4 at one time.

Default they were custom, that's for sure...

...the brakes he ordered (ALCON's) were made with smaller thickness hats for the discs to bring the wheels in. The brackets were also changed to accomodate the change in disc position.

The uprights had to be ground a bit, nothing major though.

I'm sure 0700 could give more details on it. A lot of work to fit a set of wheels though, but I give 0700 the thumbs up for taking on the project.

Its very possible they might fit with an offset around 38mm or so.

9.0" in the rear is no problem, it's the front that has the problem. :-)
