About the 6k push on AMS chip
Ask AMS or Josh at achtuning and they will both tell you that there is a kick at 6k that was coded in on purpose. Not the throttle shutting down and then reopening. It's not that the car feels fast - then drops and then slams up again. Hardly here is breakdown
4K boost spikes around 19-21. From there to 5.8K you get a steady 17psi at about 6k the needle rises from 17 to 18/19psi. I am expecting to do a vag log as soon as possible but from the people i've talked to the AMS chip is ment to go ***** out at the top end and this is exactly what APR race program did so well but now I get that on pump gas. I really think something else is wrong in JC's car. Because his car is spiking over 21psi and that should not happen. In fact I was told the chip will NOT allow any boost over that. Maybe the chip is shot? Maybe something else is? God knows I'm no expert. But I do not think it is "inherent" in the software. Talk to Jeff (mirror) about all his rides in the AMS chipped car. It only gets faster at 6k not getting back to where it was before a drop. the power is silky smooth in the car. Am I happy with it? VERY - would my apr cheap beat it? Not a chance right now. We'll see about the future.

get a log of 003 before you claim that....you WILL get 15 psi or so as the throttle cuts
i just reviewed 3 logs....spike to 1.5+ bar, tapers to 1.1 bar or so, then comes up at 1.5+ bar again...take a look at the rpm's....and you see those 1.5 bar points are at the edges of the throttle cuts. btw...even marc emailed me saying there was a diff software version...who is to say you have the same software? maybe yours cuts and maybe it doesn't...until you post a log, what you "feel" isn't necessarily the whole story

here ya go...rpm & boost pressure during throttle cut.....the slope of that rpm not
only concaves, but it rises at a lower rate than even a k03 car if i calculated right.
