Default You sure it was the ABS?

My car sometimes sounds like ABS when slowly creeping in reverse, because the rotors and pads aren't used to turning that direction... its normal.

Does your ABS light come on?

Old build or new buid S4? My 01.5 did that and it was a bad ABS sensor.

Default I have the same thing but don't know what it is. The brakes pulsate a little. it's not the rotors,

it feels like the ABS or something similar

Default Check tire pressure to see if one is really low. This would....

change the rolling diameter of the tire causing the car to see it as slippage.

Default Mine does the same thing. I think the antilock thinks the one of the wheels has stopped because....

it takes so long to get aulse when you're going slow. Just back up like a european driver!

Actually, i use the emergency brake now when backing out of my driveway to avoid this behavior. It never occurred to me that it was broken.
