Default ABS failure fix? Have you guys heard of a Co called Auto & Truck Electronics?

They claim they have a permanent fix for the faulty electronic module and guarantee it for five years for only $350. All they require is the ABS Electronic Module only, not the pump. Hmmm...is this something that I can fix with a soldering iron myself? Anyone have an idea what these guys found out that we don't know? My other option is to get a used less expensive one from Car-Parts.com and risk that module going out soon too. I might try these guys out.

TIA.

Website: www.autoecu.com

They also list on car-parts.com

Ebay Link

Default Open it up, take a digital pic of it before sending it in...

and then look at it afterwards. Then post here so that we can all save $350.

Default just spoke with him

While he wouldn't say exactly, I did get him to slip and say the main board isn't the problem. If that's the case, the only thing left are the relays. It would be a shame if everyone was paying $800+ for new ABS modules because bosch permanently installed a $20 relay. They probably didn't want relays rattling loose from a standard socket and causing problems.

Default Yeah I think I might call him too. You took apart your ABS module, did you see any loose connections

It sucks to pay $350 to simply replace a coil or solder a connection. But I guess it's better than paying $800 for a new one. I'm going to try and take a pic before sending it in to see what they replaced or fixed. I guess their price would include the 5yr warranty and the time spent researching a fix.

Your Pics
