Default So you are saying same ext. body size but larger turbine?

So fits w/o new inlet pipes? Anyone done side-by-side dyno testing on both to compare?

Default AMS says they are capable of 420hp....

Some "other" tuners with K04 m/s S4's are pushing 500hp. And then there is slrvbullet with almost 600hp.

Default The inlets on an RS4 K04 is about 30% larger than a stock K03, or ABT K04

There are many K04s out there. Keep in mind that the more air that you can bring in and out then the more power you can end up making.

Put it this way, the AMS turbos are rated to put out 375hp with DPs and all. The RS4 K04 kits coming out are all over the 400hp mark.

Default nope, different bodies, larger intake side. I think larger exhaust side to, but don't quote me on

that though. Plus you would want to look at the pitch of the blades on both and the shaft size of both.

Default no problem... yes I guess which setup you go with is all personal preference

not everyone is looking for the same thing, thats why there are different options available.

Default there is a minimal increase in lag, and when you weigh it against the power increase it is more

than reasonable. You'll still get full boost in the 3K range with RS4 K04s. You exhaust manifolds will make up a big diff to. AWE has some trick stuff coming out soon that'll spool as quick as stock, if not a bit faster.
