added custom exhaust tips to my neuspeed/borla exhaust this week
after looking around everywhere for stock-like tips since I don't dig on the Borla intercooled tips (and the fact that they slanted downwards), i've finally found one that i like. it's the same custom tips as on DominicanS4's former Borla exhaust (he's going Milltek now). 3" angle-cut and rolled lip, just like stock (although the stock tips have a smaller diameter..2.5" i think).
here are a few shots of them. more in a few days. doesn't change the sound of the exhaust at all that i could notice. it actually adds 10hp since it doesn't look *** anymore. ;-) it's actually tucked a little too far in (could go out an inch) so i'm gonna have the shop loosen up the exhaust a bit.
Tips were $59 (T304 stainless steel Y-pipe..a chromed version is $49) and install was $20. It was done at Johnny Franklin Mufflers in San Rafael, CA (128 Bellam, across the highway from Sonnen Motors; they also have a location in Santa Rosa, CA). Talk to Jay or Dick and they'll take care of you. Real nice guys and they do good work.

about an inch, but that's more the piping than just the tips. looks perfect when (m)
it's warmed up...it's just when it's cold the tips are about an inch shorter than what i would like. i'll have more pics to illustrate over the weekend.

All you have to do is get the inner tips cut.
And my tips don't sag...
