advice/help if possible?

here's what you do.
call AoA, politely ask to speak with the correct people to solve your issue. Describe that you had a new clutch installed 3k miles ago and that it has gone bad, you are sure that this is not normal for the part, cite poor install or defective part.
If you are as kind as possible, I doubt AoA is going to tell you that a brand new clutch is supposed to last 3k miles.
If you're driving the crap out of it, launching really high rpms all the time, then you may be causing this damage yourself. I think you have a pretty good argument either way though, but on your next clutch you should be more careful.
If you truly feel that it is not your driving style causing this clutch problem, force audi to explain how it could happen, I have no idea what problem could cause this though, doesnt sound right.
Does someone else drive your car? and beat on it when you're not driving with them?
Anyway, good luck.

Thanks for the responses....
... I still don't know what could have happened to the clutch.
The dealer will charge $500 to put her back together so they are doing the work instead.
My wife was driving the car and she is very good about how to drive it. However I wasn't there so I don't know for sure.
All she said was that it started to smoke badly and proceeded to Audi asap a few blocks away.
As for how I drive;
1) To stop I put it in neutral and use the brakes as I don't beleive in down shifting to stop.
2) I don't double clutch and up shift around 2.5K-3K RPM during normal driving.
3) I havn't chipped and don't race.
In fact I don't drive the car like it was meant to be driven so perhaps I will sell
I'll post later if I do. She's got an AWB 100K warrenty and has 54K so far.
Thanks again for the posts.

Re: here's what you do.
Thanks for the advice. I did that and AoA policy is to stand by the dealer. Thats what I was told.
Perhaps Audi Bev is not the right "people" dealer but Pac Audi almost cost me $900 due to mis-diagnosis so I don't really have alternatives.
The Pac Audi story goes like this;
a) The car was leaking coolant at about a gallon every few months.
b) I took her to Pac Audi and was told that it was an impact dent due to the car being lowered.
* The dent was in the back of the radiator.
d) AWD refused to come see the car as Pac Audi mentioned it being heavily mod'd with ground effects (RS4 bumper and springs).
e) I then took her to Ken at Bev Audi and he got AWD to inspect the car as how could I have caused a fracture on the back side on the radiator by bottoming out. And if I did bottom out that hard, the front end woulda been hosed big time. It was covered and I was happy.
What do you think about this one?
