Default after reading past posts, i have a question about launching technique....

Most of the posts say that you hit the gas down to the floor and at 4000rpm you pop the clutch. i have two questions about this. #1 do you hit the gas all the way down and time it so that you let the clutch up at 4K or do you just hit it down enough to get to 4K? #2 do you actually pop the clutch or do you let it out gradually???

Default Timing...

is key.

If you floor it, the engine will ask for, and get, more b00st.

Then, as the needle is (VERY quickly) swinging up towards 4K, you rapidly release the clutch. This isn't a 'slide your foot off the side of it' thing. It's a controlled, rapid release of the clutch pedal. Do it too fast, you will bog, do it too slow, you'll smoke the clutch...

Balance, young grasshoppah. *bows*

A.

Default One last suggestion...

Try practicing launches on wet pavement, so if you come off the clutch too fast, the tires will break free, and wont stress the driveline unneccessarily.

Also, but, i'm sure this goes without saying: ESP = OFF!

Default Rev that bitch between 5000k - 5500rpm

without letting go of the gas. Dump the clutch when you hit 5500rpm. And hold on
