Default With all due respect, how do you VM2 owners live with all that noise?

I tried on a VM2 given to me this afternoon, and I knew to expect fitment issues and "polarizing" sound levels.
1. Fitment was ok, took some fighting but I got it. Waaay lighter than my Milltek 3" and I truly was impressed with the quality of the bends and fittings.
2. With my LaBrees and cats the sound level was positively extreme. The siren-wail at WOT induced an evil grin, but the raucous blah-ta blah-ta with every touch of the throttle was embarrassing, and the idle sound was crude. Totally out of character for this car and it came right back off.
FWIW the last car this pipe was on blew a turbo, so I spent a lot of time pressure-washing out the pipes and resonator, and it may still be gooped up. Fortunately the next owner of this pipe wants it strictly for track use, "So I can hear the engine". Well man, you'll hear it allright.

Eh, 3 years I've had it on now. Every time I go WOT it's worth it.

I'm hoping for louder once I install my piggie pipes on my VM2. You're too old if its too loud. ;^)

Default My Milltek 3" is louder with the LaBrees than with piggies. . .

and at the ripe old age of 32, it's not too "loud", it just sounds nasty IMHO. Redneck old man accross the street asked me when I became a "Meckseecan" when I fired it up. S4Lynx, who doesn't exactly have subtle tastes, said "That doesn't even sound like an S4 anymore". Ah well, SuperDual will be here soon and I'll get to actually hear something compared to my 3", but not THAT much.

Default Yep, hate to say it but the VM2 sounded like sh*t...

I'm pretty sure the guy who beat me at New Dimensions had one of those on his car, and I remember Dustin asking him to rev his engine so he could hear it. Well, it sounded TERRIBLE, and I was so pissed that he didn't ask to hear mine that I got in my car, started her up, and rev'd the engine real loud. Then I said, "THAT'S what an S4 should sound like." Of course I was right, and then the bastard gave me 2nd place. Seriously though, Borla / LaBree is the best I've heard yet, so I'm really looking forward to the Miltek Super Dual / LaBree. I've heard great things about the ASP Trual Dual / LaBree, but I haven't heard it yet. Other than that, the VM1 / LaBree sounds wicked for the track, but too loud for the street IMO.
