Default Another BAD MAF

2nd bad one. This was a remanafactured one from ECS. Didn't last too long (10K miles). Anyone know someplace to get these annoying Bosch MAFs cheap or is there some consensus on how to clean them, and if it works?

Some people seem to think that alcohol can kill them, others recommend nothing but contact cleaner...anyone agree on some way to patch these up?

Default Yeah, but then I'd need to swap out code too.

Wouldn't I need a new ECU? What's involved exactly? I like my AMS A Box code. It's quite fast when the MAF can keep up.

Default Yes, you'd need H, M or T-box code.

Don't need a whole new ECU, just the chip.

But it'll keep you from having to replace Bosch MAFs.

Default If your MAF is dirty and reading low, that might help.

If its reading zero, its completely dead and no amount of cleaning will bring it back to life.

Default Conver to Hitachi. I think Mark at ASP can hook you up.

You may need to buy KO4's too though... but that would not be all bad.
