another Kahn RSS question
anyone out there been able to match the satin silver finish on the RSS? Ive got a little curb rash, but the wheelworx says its gonna be hard to get right

Talked to several people and the answer is no.
There is no way to get an exact match because, according to several sources, the chemical utilized to create the finish is illegal to use in the US. I know smurfette has hers refinished and she said it was close but not exact. You also can't buy new ones either because they are no longer available being imported into the US. I spoke with Kahn directly and they offered me a price on new wheels but it was to expensive to ship it. Somewhere around $200 per wheel. It also seems that they sell for about $500 per wheel in the UK compared to the $350 they sold for in the US. Don't know why that is but I talked to several places in the UK and they all had about the same prices.
