Default Another question for GE Extended Warranty owners....

For the 5 star plan, what was the longest term/mileage that was offered to you? I got a quote for 3 yr/36K miles for $2370 and it seems high. Are they giving me a fair quote? Did they change the limits?

Thats why I went with Warrantech's Ultimate Plan, 72/100k, <$2400.

Default did you get yours before they changed it?

it's really hard to swallow... i did some math and it's about 6.6 cents per mile premium... which adds up to about $1.20 premium for every gallon of gas.

Default have you filed any claims with them yet?

if so, any problems/hassles filing one?

by any chance, do you have a warranty dealer I can call to get a quote besides the number on their website?

Default nope, missed it by a few months

i still thought it was a reasonable amount at that price. Since my factory warranty expired, i've already had my rear main seal replaced ($1k+ job) as well as the driver side door lock mechanism. this would have been money out of my pocket with or without an extended warranty, so at least i've gotten about 1/2 of my money "back". I anticipate more problems with the car so I expect that I will come out ahead by the time the warranty expires.
