Default Not sure of the build date, but there are 01 with blown turbos..
Turbos blow 95% of the time from manufacturing defects. So if your turbo has a some defect it will blow usually with in the the first 15K. It's nothing you can control and basically a luck of the draw. So you'll see issues regardless of build date...

I think those were 7/00 - 9/00 build dates.

I know of at least one 11/00 build date that went through a turbo replacement.

Default yeah I know, but it was a manufacturing defect, Good thing about being chipped
not that I nor anyone else on this board is, is the increased demand on the turbos tend to bring the defects out quicker. SO instead of them failing later on out of warrenty they fail sooner in warrenty.

Default But, unlike other blown turbos, Pete's car was a lemon from day one
and exhibited problems almost immediately.
