Any break-in period needed for new K03 turbos?
The dealer just replaced my turbos under factory warranty (44k miles on my car) and I'm wondering if I should baby it or otherwise do anything to break these babies in. I'd like to have them last a while.
FWIW, I can barely hear these new turbos. What a difference from before when I'd have a loud siren after cold startup and a dentist drill at WOT. All I can hear is a faint "pssssst" when the windows are down.

that's the way mine were when new @ 42K miles.
Now, after about 1K miles, they're louder, but no drill or siren or strange noises. Thank goodness.
I asked the same question, with the consensus that turbos don't need break-in per se, but i was gentle for the first few hundred miles anyway.
