are pliers/side cutters OK to use to tighten them when they're in a recessed location? Seems like the far side of the clamp would be looser compared to the front....

Replacing my 710N's and N75, and would like to make it easier the next time they need to be taken off.

BTW, my local VW dealer only had one size of crimp clamps.

Default If you can find narrow enough hose clamps, they work just the same.

Getting them narrow enough is the hard part... The screw in kind is what you want.

Zip ties work fine on vacuum lines, too.

Zip ties work fine for those small hoses coming of the DV an N75.

Default Hey Dan, mcmaster.com, just buy the tool and the proper clamps...

You're the type of guy that cares, and it's not that expensive.

Default 2nd - by far the cheapest alternative to the $3/pc OEM clamps

Just measure the size of an OEM one first, or you will have a package of useless clamps
