Default any idea on cost to trailor an S4 from palm springs to Portland OR?

just curious, toying with the idea of getting the S4 in CA and bringing it back up here.

I could drive, but would rather not as I'm sort of in a crunch work period...

Default probably about $700-$800, covered car carrier...

I think that was about the quote I got a while ago to ship from LA to Seattle. Make absolutely sure to get supplemental insurance if its shipped AFTER you've signed for it. I've heard horror stories about damaged cars that the owners regular insurance wouldn't cover.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=2361">

Yikes! Then you have to pay sales tax and have CA emissions!

Sales Tax is only due when you register the car...50 state emissions legal

Default Humm, that doesn't make sense. I live in OR, and shouldn't have to pay sales tax or CA registration.

I'll call the dealer and find out, that would be a bummer if it's true.

Default sorry, I reversed that. You're in OR, not CA, should be no problem w/sales tax, smog is another . .

issue. Find Benji (Benji3) he bought from NJ and is in Eugene. He may be able to help somewhat. Sorry for the mixup!<p>"I'm that Blue Menace in your rear view!!!"

Default I think it shouldn't be more than 500-600 bucks. I paid 1100 to get my S4 shipped to Oregon from NJ

Should be fine. You won't have any probs with sales tax or state to state fees either, it's pretty easy. I don't know why more people don't do it like this. I think covered car carriers aren't really worth it...you can take the extra money it costs to get it transported covered and do a really good car wash...whatever though. I didn't have covered from NJ even and my car was absolutely fine.
