Any problems with switching to synthetic (Mobil 1) at 3,000 miles?

There should not be any problem with that. But
Some say it really doesn't matter. Sooner or later it would break in 100%. Many high-end cars come with synthetic oil for break in.
Although some would totally disagree with that logic. Royal Purple, for instance does not recommend using their oil for break in. It has too much film strength.
I just switched to Royal Purple #21 Racing Oil. I can honestly say that it is superior to anything I've used before.
I now get 34 MPG @70 MPH on the thruway, up from 28.5 on level road. That means much less friction. Also, the engine has quieted down significantly compared to how it sounded with Mobil 1 0W-30. It even revs easier then before.
I've never seen that much of a MPG difference with any oil or oil additives before. I'll be selling and using it at my shop now instead of Mobil 1. I'm really freaking impressed! I have to thank MC (Clark) for turning me on to it.
I hope I don't jinx my turbos by saying this, but they seem very happy :-)

http://www.royalpurple.com</a
