It's actually very well put together. I'm not doctor, but i've taken a lot of medical courses, a few in first aid and some in "what to do in an emergency situation" sorta courses. The items they've gaven us are pretty good. A friend of mine (a doctor), was looking at it and was very impressed. They have so many things.

They have a "shock" blanket, a pair of scissors, a lot of different bandages for many different reasons.

Take a look at the first aid, get to know it, you never know when you might need it. It's there for a reason. I was really surprised when I checked it out this time.

I know most german cars come with them, (my dad's S420 has a pretty good one also), but Audi's is very complete.

Audi's really out for our safety. Good stuff.

I keep that First Aid kit around the house.

It is extremely well put together. Even has scissors.

Default Well, I am a doctor -

Would never use much of anything in it. Actually, I would rather prefer something more useful for the money it costs - like a built it in long range cell phone atenna, etc. That would be far more useful (both medically and everyday). Nice conversation piece though!

Default hmm..when i first opened the kit, the majority of them looked like it was written in german

but when i took a closer look, in the "fine print," there were instructions/indications of what the packages were, in many different languages, including english.

Default Also a physician...

I checked out the first aid kit in my S4, and it isn't bad for handling minor lacerations, abrasions, etc. that you could see in an MVA. Actually, the kit has enough gauze pads in it to treat an entire family. Exam gloves are included, but a shield for rescue breathing isn't.

The instruction booklet is OK, although the first time to read it isn't when you come across an accident and someone needs immediate assistance. This assumes, of course, that you're even going to stop and help; unfortunately most people (at least in the USA) wouldn't bother.
