Default Anybody do piano black on just the 3 center trim pieces: ashtray, shift surround, etc. leaving wood?

So doors & belt-line would stay bird's eye maple, center console bits piano black. -Eventually, I suspect the whole trim would become piano black, but I wanted to do it in stages...

Was wondering if anybody had photos or if this would look totally rice.

I plan on doing the belt trim in black, and the center console trim in CF.

Default I wouldn't do black trim anywhere on the center console. There's already enough black

components there, so doing black trim would make it look meh IMO. At least CF would provide a slight contrast.

Default Previous owner of my car did just the center pieces in CF and the rest is wood

it looks ok but not great. I plan on painting the wood to better match the cf but no way am I paying the absurd prices that true cf trim demands. probably just black.
