Went to torque down my "factory" audi head bolts today and the bolt pattern is changed slightly from the old bolts. Is there a new tool? I didn't have my camera with me but the old bolts are rounded between the grooves in the head and the new ones are square.

I doubled check the p/ns from vwparts and they shipped the right ones. Anyone know if there is an updated tool available?

I dunno what a polydyne socket is???? My socket fit perfectly on the outgoing bolts -- we're checking with the tool guy on monday but quite honestly i dunno what i need????

I looked at zdmak.com @ the audi tools page. The polydrive tool they have listed (for vw/audi 5 valve engines) looks like the same tool i have. I have the tool from Audi and it worked fine for removal. However, when I look a little closer, the head pattern on this on looks to me to be identical to the new bolts and not the old.

It's odd that Josh got the rounded bolts and i got the squared off bolts. Thread, size, and length of the bolts are correct -- there's just this slight, slight change in the head pattern.
